Mike Henderson has been with GenSpring since 2001. Along with David Bokman, Mike is responsible for services provided to the GenSpring South Region Family Office clients.
Prior to joining GenSpring, he spent 23 years at Arthur Andersen as a tax consultant to business owners and executives on income and estate tax planning. While at Arthur Andersen, Mike served as head of the Family Wealth Planning service line in the Carolinas. He was also one of twelve U.S. partners on the firm's National Specialty Team for Family Wealth Planning, which developed leading edge strategies for high net worth clients. As one of four national directors for the Arthur Andersen Center for Family Business, he helped serve unique planning needs of large family business owners, including strategies related to management succession, monetization alternatives and estate planning.
Most recently, Mike was an Investment Manager with Goldman, Sachs &Co. in Atlanta, where he assisted high net worth families in a broad range of investment management and financial advisory needs.
Mike is a Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina.
Susan Parsons, CPA, ChFC
President Atlanta
As President of GenSpring’s Atlanta offices in Buckhead and Vinings, Susan oversees all operations and the delivery of wealth management services to clients.
She joins GenSpring after a distinguished 16-year career with Ernst & Young LLP. While at Ernst & Young, Susan served as Tax Partner in the Personal Financial Counseling group, and was the primary relationship partner for high net worth families and senior level Fortune 500 corporate executives. In that capacity, she has had extensive experience in managing complex tax and financial matters for high net worth individuals and families.
Susan received both a BBA in Finance and a Masters of Taxation from Georgia State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Consultant, and served on the Advisory Council of The Community Foundation in Atlanta as well as the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Shakespeare Festival.
Michael Woocher
President Buckhead
As President of GenSpring’s Atlanta Buckhead office, Michael oversees all operations and the delivery of wealth management services to clients.
Over the last 11 years Michael has held various senior leadership and client management roles within SunTrust Private Wealth Management. He has worked extensively with ultra high net worth families, providing investment advisory, wealth planning, risk management and private banking advice for SunTrust Private Wealth Management clients.
Michael most recently served as a Senior Vice President and Group Team Leader within SunTrust Private Wealth Management, where he had responsibility for the sales and service efforts of four Private Wealth teams with client investment assets in excess of $7 billion.
Michael received his B.A. from Emory University and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. Michael is also a Certified Financial Planner and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Atlanta Historical Society, The Board of Trustees of the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum and has been a regular volunteer for the East Lake Foundation.
